Musical Healing
In this Podcast, we review and discuss how colonialism has affected indigenous people and how they are reclaiming their physical, spiritual, and emotional place through a rather unorthodox lens: music. We investigated music because we thought it was all traditional and plain music. However, we uncovered the adverse; Indiginous music was so much more than just music. Our main musical focuses are Redbone, A Tribe Called Red, and Pamyua, and their influences, discography, and cultural impact as contemporary/modern-indiginous bands. our podcast samples and analyzes Redbone’s catchy riffs, Pamyua’s powerful vocals and melody, and A Tribe Called Red’s Ground-shaking bass within this investigative lens.
