Our podcast talks about European soccer players that have African roots in their family trees. We explained how some of these players have European roots because of the Western European countries that colonized their homelands. There are two players that we interviewed in our podcast, one was the Senegalese national team and Liverpool player Sadio Mane and the other was the Frenchmen who plays for Barcelona Samuel Umtiti. We spoke to Samuel Umtiti about his Cameroonian roots and how his family and life have been affected by France’s colonization of Cameroon from 1920 to 1960 when Cameroon gained independence.
